A special Day for our Family

Many of you you who know my family well know that my parents have been raising my niece Taylor since she was just an infant. I won't go into details about how all that came to pass because it's what is happening today that I want to focus on. Taylor is now 6 years old, almost 7. And today she is officially adopted by my parents. It has been a long, sometimes very painful journey for my parents to get to this day. And I just wanted to use this opportunity to acknowledge them and the amazing people they. They have loved Taylor unconditionally from the start. It never crossed there minds to abandon her or leave it up to someone else to take and care for her. In a time in their lives where most people are slowing down and enjoying the fruits of their labor, they have sacrificed to give Taylor a loving, and safe home. Taylor has known great love, because of my parents. I am so thankful to have Taylor in our lives. She is a blessing! So on this "Adoption Day" I give thanks to God for leading my parents and really our whole family through this journey. This adoption is merely a formality but it's an amazing day nonetheless. Here is Elijah, Taylor and Isaiah when she came out to visit us in Washington!

Great Craigslist find!

No not the cute baby, the bench! But I must say that Hannah is way cutter than that bench. I had been looking for one for awhile for a place for the kids to put their shoes...( an mine too) because they are always all over the place. I couldn't resist showing of my $20 find and my adorable daughter!

The House

So here's a picture of our house that we moved into about 3 weeks ago. My friend Kate brought me two hanging baskets that she planed herself so I thought it fitting that I finally post a picture of the house.

Brother Where Art Thou?

So we got the trundle bed so they'd be close but not sleeping in the same full sized bed of the old bunk bed. But alas I wake the other day to find them together. I must have stirred Isaiah because after I went to get the camera he had turned. The were both facing the same way all cuddled close (not elijah in his green shorts...green is his new obsession. I don't have green jammies for him yet.)
