Welcome

So welcome to our little world. I wanted to have a way that our family and friends could keep up to date with things going on in our lives. Now you can check in and see what we have been up to. It's usually nothing, we live very quiet and simple lives. But for what's it's worth I will weekly update this blog or as new things occur.

We are anxiously awaiting spring. I know the calender says it has arrived but it's not the case here. We still have so much snow in our yard, it is a bit discouraging. I'd say at least 2 feet as of today. The boys are feeling cabin fever that's for sure and I am trying desperately to keep them entertained. God has been faithful to me with this, He always prompts me to do a fun activity with them or shows us something new about Him. He is surely sustaining us through this very long, cold, and snow filled winter. But we can't wait to get out on the boat again, and explore God's creation. He has planted us in such beautiful surroundings. The snow is pretty, don't get us wrong, but it's time to move on.

Peter just returned from a week long trip to Houston, Texas. He went for work to receive more training for the new position he has taken on at the mill. Yesterday he wasn't feeling too well. It is good to have them home. I think the boys were on mommy overload.

So today is Monday and I've said before I don't do good with Mondays. But we have lots of fun things planned for the day and tomorrow is Tuesday. And as of April 1, we have 36 days left of "school" Isaiah will be finishing up his "2nd grade" year with homeschooling. He has grown so much this year, it's extremely humbling. Elijah will be starting "prek" in the next few weeks. He is more than excited to do "big boy" school like Isaiah.

I am so blessed to have my boys home with me and to train them in they way they should go. I am sometimes overwhelmed with the responsibilty. But as we just read last night in church and it just stuck out to me, in Psalm 18 David is speaking to the Lord and says in verse 1-2 I will love You O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock and my fotress and my deliever; My God, my strength in whom I will trust" and I realized that I don't need to "feel" overwhelmed because He is able, He alone will not only give me strength, He is my strength. I don't need to trust in myself or try to figure it all out, just trust in Him and He will bring all things to pass according to His will.

Until next time....May the Lord cause His face to shine upon you.
