It's a...

I had my 18 week ultrasound today. I knew before we went that this little one was VERY active, more so than the two boys were, so I wasn't sure if we'd get a peak or not. And I was right! This little baby was all over the place. It was easy for the technician to get all the measurements of all the important parts because the baby was showing us all sides, and angles. The only problem for us was when it was time to get a good look to see if it a girl or a boy, they were very wiggly. Eventually we got a a pretty good shot and there wasn't much to see....the technician boasted" it's a girl." But I wasn't so sure. We sat there for about a half hour waiting for a little boy part to make an appearance...it never did! At one point she literally put her hand in between her legs...it was really funny. She was so active it was hard to get a really good shot of her, but this first one is her little foot and the next one her looking right at us. The boys are excited! The were totally fascinated to see the baby waving at them and doing somersaults. I was so glad I brought them with me to see there little sister for the first time!

First Hike

We love to take hikes. We are very blessed to live in an area where a beautiful hike is but a second away. Yesterday was a perfect day to get out and get in our first hike. This is "trout ridge trail" The boys were so funny because they didn't stop talking the whole time. It's amazing the conversations you can have with your kids when you have no distractions. Elijah is completely obsessed with bees right now so we must of fielded a dozen or more questions about them. Isaiah and I were having conversation about "genes" and wondering who between Peter and I carries a gene for long legs. Isaiah has very long legs and neither Peter or I do. So the conversation ended and all of a sudden Isaiah asked me "so how long did I stay in the machine to make me who I am?" I had no idea what he was talking about. He said " you said I was inside a machine" I still couldn't understand him. Then I figured out ...I said we have genes inside us that tell us what we will look like...he must of heard "machine" instead of gene. It was really funny!

That's East Mushquash, the lake right by our house.
Elijah got a good workout. Once we got home he crashed.

Friends and Sunshine and Ice Cream

The boys and I spent the afternoon with our good friends that we've know for years now. It wasn't a good bye visit but as things get busy on our end it might turn out to be that way. We had such a fun day.

With such a beautiful day of course there had to be ice cream. Elijah followed a little boy who had the "orange" ice cream to find out what flavor because that's what he wanted. It was orange sherbet. From left to right Isaiah, Elijah, Ethan and Emma (Lisa, Isaac and I not pictured =) )

The kids jumping off the playground. I took a lot of pictures of them jumping!

Isaiah and Emma have been friends since diapers! They have grown so much!

Elijah wearing his lunch on his face!

Our kids have always gotten along so well and always enjoy their time together. It is making me a little teary eyed to imagine not having our visits.

We're moving

Here's a picture of where we're moving. Bellingham, Washington....check out those mountains!

So Peter has been offered a fantastic job at a BP oil refinery in Washington State. We prayed about it a lot and the Lord has opened the doors in amazing ways for us to make the move. It will be a total change for our family. It's a bit overwhelming. But with Lord leading us I know everything will work out just fine.
